Conscious of the fact that I haven’t written a substantial blog post for a while I started to write a long post on the appalling economic situation that we are facing. It was a long rant against the Government which has decided that ordinary working people should bear the brunt of the crisis.
And then I realised that all there really is to say is get out on the demonstration against the cuts on 26 March.
This Brecht poem puts it a lot better than a long essay from me…
And I Always Thought
And I always thought: the very simplest words
Must be enough. When I say what things are like
Everyone’s heart must be torn to shreds.
That you’ll go down if you don’t stand up for yourself
Surely you see that.
